How to apply

It is possible to apply for up to three positions, ranking them from 1 (most preferred) to 3 (least preferred)

 

Eligibility criteria

As part of the Horizon Europe MSCA-DN Project, all applicants must meet the following eligibility criteria:

- Doctoral Candidate:

  • At the time of recruitment, you must not already hold a doctoral degree.
  • Researchers who have successfully defended their doctoral thesis but have not yet formally been awarded the doctoral degree are not eligible.

- Mobility rule:

  • Applicants of any nationality are welcome to apply.
  • However, researchers must not have lived or carried out their main activity (work, studies, etc.) in the RECRUTING HOST country for more than 12 months within the 36 months immediately preceding their recruitment date.

Required documents

  • Documents that attest that you meet the eligibility criteria (For example if the Recruiting country is France, you can provide VISA, contracts, etc. from another country)
  • a certified copy and official translation in English of bachelor and master degree 
  • a certified copy and official translation in English of the transcripts of study results for bachelor and master
  • explanation of the grading system (in English) (i.e. the minimum and maximum value of the grading system, For example in Italy the minimum is 18 and the maximum is 30)
  • the certificate or proof of English proficiency
  • a comprehensive curriculum vitae (in English) 
  • a cover letter explaining motivation to join GreenFieldData (in English)
  • email of reference persons
  • all scientific publications (if any)
  • a digital version of the master thesis (if applicable)
  • three ranked PhD position preference (if you apply to more PhD positions)

General requirements

  • You hold or are about to obtain a Master’s degree in a relevant field; The master degree must be granted by a university recognized by the International Association of Universities.
  • You are motivated to pursue a double degree doctoral degree through an individual research project.
  • You demonstrate a strong academic track record.
  • You have a solid scientific background, possibly with prior relevant research experience.
  • You have a sufficient command of the English language, given the international context.
  • You are open to international mobility
  • You are enthusiastic about sharing your research findings through impactful posters, compelling presentations, and high-quality publications in international journals and conferences.

PhD recruitment process: 3 main steps

The recruitment process for each PhD position is typically based on three main steps:

  1. Initial Shortlisting: Definition of the first shortlist, based on the selection of objective criteria (e.g., relevant experience, publications)
  2. Second Shortlisting: Refinement of the shortlist, based on interviews and assessment of a take-home assignment or "homework"
  3. Final Selection: Final selection based on a comprehensive interview

For PhD A, C and N the recruitement process is:

  1. Initial Shortlisting: Definition of the first shortlist
  2. Second Shortlisting: Refinement of the shortlist, based on interviews
  3. Final Selection: Final selection by GSTT
